Privacy Policy — InnerQ
Effective date: November 11, 2025
This Privacy Policy describes how InnerQ ("we", "us", "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects information when you use our mobile application and related services (the "Service"). InnerQ provides random questions and personal analysis tests to help users explore personality, preferences, and self-discovery.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information that helps deliver the Service and improve your experience. That information can include:
- Content you provide: responses to questions and tests, optional profile information (name, display name), notes or journal entries you choose to save, uploaded media if any (images, audio) and any feedback you submit.
- Account & authentication data: email address, hashed password or tokens if you create an account (account creation is optional unless you choose features that require it).
- Device & usage data: app version, operating system, device identifiers, IP address, language settings, crash reports, session logs, and actions within the app (which questions you view, which tests you take, timestamps).
- Metadata & analytics: aggregated or pseudonymized information derived from your activity for product improvement and research.
- Communications: support requests, survey responses, and other correspondence.
2. How We Use Your Information
- Provide, maintain, and personalize the Service (generate question sets, store your answers, deliver analysis results).
- Improve and develop new features, run analytics, and perform research to enhance content quality.
- Respond to your requests and provide customer support.
- Send transactional messages related to your account or the Service (optional newsletters if you opt in).
- Protect our rights, prevent abuse, troubleshoot, and comply with legal obligations.
3. Legal Basis for Processing (If you are in the EEA)
If you are located in the European Economic Area, our legal bases for collecting and using personal data depend on the data and context. We rely on:
- Your consent (e.g., for optional newsletters or certain analytics).
- Performance of a contract (providing the Service you requested).
- Legitimate interests (improving the Service, preventing fraud), balanced against your rights.
4. Sharing and Disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information in the following limited situations:
- Service providers: vendors who perform services for us (hosting, analytics, customer support). These providers have access only to what is necessary and are contractually bound to protect your data.
- Legal requirements: when required by law, court order, or to respond to lawful requests by public authorities.
- Business transfers: in connection with a merger, acquisition, sale of assets, or bankruptcy — users will be notified and data treated according to this policy or a successor policy.
- Aggregated or de-identified data: non-personally-identifiable summaries used for research or analytics.
5. Third-Party Services and Links
The Service may use third-party services (for example, analytics, crash reporting, hosting, or authentication). Those services may collect information in accordance with their own privacy policies. Please review the privacy policies of any third-party services you use through InnerQ.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary to provide the Service, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. You can request deletion of your account and associated personal data — see "Your Rights" below.
7. Security
We take reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures to help protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure. If we learn of a data breach that may pose risk to your rights or freedoms, we will notify affected users and regulators as required by law.
8. Your Rights
Subject to local law, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you.
- Correct or update inaccurate or incomplete information.

To exercise these rights, contact us using the details in the "Contact" section. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling requests.
9. Children’s Privacy
InnerQ is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe we have collected such information, please contact us so we can delete it.
10. International Transfers
We may transfer and store data in countries other than your own. Where required by law, we will take steps to ensure that transfers are made with appropriate safeguards (for example, standard contractual clauses or other lawful transfer mechanisms).
11. Cookies and Similar Technologies
We and our third-party partners may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies to operate and improve the Service. You can manage cookie settings through your device or app settings where supported.
12. Changes to This Privacy Policy
